To enjoy optimum health, we must continually assess the steps we take towards achieving successful stress management and eliminate activities from our lives that contribute to ill health.

Who's In Control Of Stress Management

We should have control over our lives so we aren't being pulled to and fro against our will. We sit in the scheduling seat when we assign ourselves every activity that we enjoy or don't particularly love. So if our lives are full of stress, it's not the guy beside us causing our health to be affected.

Look At Your People List

Part of our stress management efforts is to scale down or eliminate any person that's causing us discomfort. Individuals need to be honest and evaluate which people in their lives are always taking life out of them with every breath and affecting health adversely. Friends need to complement our lives and not be sucking us dry. Sure, relationships are never 50/50 in any moment; however, we can't be enablers for people that need to become adults and begin their own stress management program.

Scheduling Events to Reduce Stress Management

We might be scheduling certain events just because we think we should. If we don't enjoy an activity and it's affecting our health negatively, then we should get rid of it. Life lived to the fullest can be exciting and we should be happy while we are actively engaged in productivity.

Have Some Fun As Part of Stress Management

Work and play should equalize each other. If we become a workaholic, then playing seems like a waste. If we play too much, then we've become irresponsible to family members and ourselves. We should always have a full day each week with our family enjoying each one to the utmost. Relaxation will fuel our future workdays with purpose and health will take an upward turn.

Plan For Optimal Health

Plenty of good nutrition and sleep will enable us to work to our maximum potential. If we are tired, the life we do have will become like a ball and chain instead of exciting and purposeful. Every stress management program includes a balanced program of nutrition and rest
